Quote:THE BOTTOM LINE - WHAT YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY! :
The bottom line, which I've moved up here as it is so important, is as follows:-
The £860 entry fee covers:
Entry of 1 vehicle, 1 driver, 1 co-driver.
A daily road book covering the entire 9 days (this compiled by Landy Rally officials surveying the entire 3,000 mile / 4,800 km route).
Additional organiser.s maps for specific off-road tracks where required.
Daily/week-long task sheets (basically treasure hunt-type tasks and challenges).
Vehicle event plaque.
Event t-shirts customised to each team.s title with driver and co-driver names/nicknames.
Off-road fees at Val d'Isére.
Camping fees from Wednesday 14th Sept through to the last night Thursday 22nd Sept.
Should there be any under 12's on the event, prizes for a separate Kid's competition.
A plethora of mystery awards (a bunch of daft prizes).
Daytime barbeque organised by the local 4x4 club at Val d'Isére in the French Alps.
An evening meal at a restaurant in the Spanish Pyrenees.
An evening meal at the restaurant of a Spainish campsite in the Navarra region
Prize-giving reception including dinner at Le Sybilien restaurant, Calais.
Monetary prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place crews amounting to £1,000 - these cash prizes can either be donated/part-donated to their charity or good cause, or be kept by teams to cover their costs. It really is completely up to them how they distribute these prizes.
Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place crews.
In addition a Team Spirit Award, Organiser's Special Award, Navigation and suchlike.
